Kim is a licensed clinical marriage and family therapist in both Missouri and Kansas. She is also a nationally certified counselor and a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. Kim received both her Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s of Science from Kansas State University.
Since 1980, Kim has counseled individuals, couples, children, and families. She is also clinical supervisor for other counselors and students.
In therapy, Kim utilizes a blend of systems, cognitive-behavioral, strengths-based, solution-focused, and supportive therapy. She works with adults in transition, anxiety disorders, attention deficit disorder, bereavement/grief counseling, child abuse, codependency issues, crisis intervention, domestic violence, gay/lesbian issues, hypnotherapy, learning disabilities, life management skills, marriage & family/relationship issues, men’s issues, mood disorders, parenting issues, post-traumatic stress disorder, sexual/physical abuse, stress management, and women’s issues.
